PLDT Global Corp. has partnered with cloud communications platform Infobip to improve customer engagement for Filipinos abroad through its TinBo (Tindahan ni Bossing) platform. This move aims to enhance the experience of overseas Filipinos using intelligent solutions.
TinBo is a marketplace that allows Filipinos living abroad to buy load, pay bills, and send digital products back to the Philippines. The partnership will enable the platform to offer services through popular messaging channels like WhatsApp and Messenger, streamlining customer interactions and providing seamless access to digital transactions.
The collaboration was launched during the 20th Asian Carriers Conference in Cebu.
“We at PLDT Global are continuously evolving to level up our quality of service to global Filipinos, that is why we are delighted to partner with a technology leader who shares the same passion and vision in utilizing artificial intelligence and omnichannel solutions to improve our business operations and customer experience,” said Albert Villa-Real, president of PLDT Global Corp.
Infobip technology
Infobip’s technology will allow TinBo to provide real-time, automated customer support while maintaining a personal touch through a cloud contact center and an intelligent chatbot. These enhancements will ensure faster response times and more personalized service.
The partnership introduces Smart Virtual Numbers (SVN), giving Filipinos abroad secure digital identities for financial transactions in the Philippines. This feature will allow them to receive important one-time passwords (OTPs) and access e-wallets and banking services back home.
“Infobip will enable PLDT Global to provide an enhanced customer experience using conversational solutions, delivering always-on communication to overseas Filipino workers through the channels they use daily,” said Cecile Tizon, sales director, Infobip.
