Following the onslaught of Typhoon Odette in the Visayas and Mindanao, anyone who wants to help can do so through PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), PLDT, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), and PayMaya.

Through this initiative, people can send financial assistance to the affected communities of the typhoon through the PLDT-Smart Foundation’s various digital donation channels powered by PayMaya.

PayMaya users can simply scan the PayMaya QR code of the PSF, input the amount, and donate. They can also donate using the Pay Bills Tile in the PayMaya app: Click on Donations, choose PSF in the list of partners, enter 00000 in the Account Number field, and input the donation amount. Those who wish to donate using any credit, debit, or prepaid card can go to the online donation page of PSF.

PayMaya’s digital payment platform is also enabling various charitable foundations and humanitarian agencies that are mobilizing relief and response efforts for communities affected by Super Typhoon Odette. These organizations include the Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), Unicef, Caritas, among others. PLDT and Smart have also engaged local government units and local suppliers for the distribution of relief packs. Efforts to provide an immediate response through network resilience, continuous availability of communication services, and relief assistance to communities are part of PLDT and Smart’s #SafeandSmart advocacy.
