Technology company Samsung showed its commitment to youth development with the culmination of its inaugural Galaxy Campus Student Ambassador program. Launched in October 2023, this program is part of Samsung’s global initiative to engage student creators, tech innovators, and sustainability advocates.
The six-month-long program engaged university students in the world of technology and content creation. It provided an avenue for the best and brightest to interact with Samsung’s latest innovations, top content creators, and industry experts.
After a competitive selection process, 50 university students were chosen from thousands of applicants across the nation. These students, now known as the first batch of Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors, embarked on a journey of technological exploration and creative expression. Their experience included exclusive preview events and product launches, such as the unveiling of Samsung’s first AI-powered phone. They also participated in collaborative content creation workshops with Team Galaxy and joined environmental initiatives like the Galaxy Earth Run.
“It gives us so much pride to see our first batch of Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors in the Philippines graduate from this program,” said Min Su Chu, president of Samsung Electronics Philippines (Sepc)o. “Their passion for tech and learning highlights the immense potential of today’s youth. As we expand this program, we look forward to nurturing more talent and empowering young Filipinos in tech and creativity.”
Samsung also announced plans to expand the initiative, doubling the number of participants to 100 for the next batch.
