At the 2025 Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 series, which consists of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, its latest flagship smartphone lineup. These phones come with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features designed to make interactions more natural and personalized while keeping user data secure.
“The greatest innovations are a reflection of their users, which is why we evolved Galaxy AI to help everyone interact with their devices more naturally and effortlessly while trusting that their privacy is secured,” said TM Roh, president and head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung.
The Galaxy S25 series introduces One UI 7, a system that makes the phones more intuitive. With new multimodal AI capabilities, the devices can understand text, speech, images, and videos, allowing for smoother interactions.
Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, works across apps like Samsung Calendar and Spotify, making tasks like adding a sports team’s schedule to your calendar as simple as a single voice command.
For content creators, Writing Assist can summarize text or format notes, and Drawing Assist allows users to create using sketches, text, and image prompts. Improved AI image processing, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ensures smooth performance and efficiency.

Samsung said it prioritizes user privacy with the Galaxy S25 series. The phones use a feature called the Personal Data Engine to process information on the device itself, keeping user data private. Post-quantum cryptography has also been introduced to protect against future threats from quantum computing.
One UI 7 offers added safety measures, such as the Knox Matrix dashboard to track the security of connected devices and stronger Theft Protection settings.

Better cameras for creative users
The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a 50MP ultrawide camera for clearer and more vibrant photos. Video recording has improved, offering richer colors with 10-bit HDR and better low-light performance. AI-powered tools like Audio Eraser make it easy to remove unwanted background sounds from videos, while Virtual Aperture adds DSLR-style depth to photos.
These updates make professional-level editing more accessible for all users.

Samsung has made sustainability a focus for the Galaxy S25 series. Each phone includes recycled materials, like aluminum in the frame and cobalt in the batteries. The S25 Ultra is built with durable titanium and Gorilla Armor 2 glass for extra protection.
“Samsung is committed to creating devices that not only perform exceptionally but also contribute to a sustainable future,” Roh said.
