Video streaming platform Netflix has entered its first e-commerce partnership in Southeast Asia (SEA) through ShopeeVIP+, a new subscription that combines streaming access with free shipping and shopping discounts.
Shopee launched ShopeeVIP+ in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, expanding the ShopeeVIP subscription program introduced last year. In the Philippines, plans start at ₱140 a month and include access to the Netflix Mobile Plan.
The partnership gives Shopee another way to attract repeat shoppers as e-commerce platforms compete not only on prices but also on subscriptions, delivery benefits, and services. For Netflix, the deal offers another channel for reaching viewers in three major markets in SEA.
“We know that every peso counts, and at Shopee, we are always looking for ways to bring the best value to our shoppers,” said Jack Ng, head of Commercial at Shopee Philippines. “With ShopeeVIP+, we want to bring more value into one subscription, combining the shopping benefits users already enjoy with access to world-class entertainment through Netflix.”
ShopeeVIP+ with the Netflix Mobile Plan starts at ₱140 a month under a multimonth subscription. A single-month subscription costs ₱169. Subscribers may also upgrade to Netflix Basic, Standard, or Premium.
The Mobile Plan supports streaming on one smartphone or tablet at a time. The Premium Plan offers up to Ultra HD quality, allows viewing on as many as four devices at once, and supports downloads on six compatible devices.

Aside from Netflix access, ShopeeVIP+ provides daily free-shipping vouchers with no minimum purchase, daily and monthly discount vouchers, selected-brand discounts of up to 20%, and access to VIP Day. Some plans also include three months of zero-interest SPayLater payments.
Existing ShopeeVIP members can upgrade to VIP+ for an additional P41 a month. Other partner benefits include access to Canva Pro, ChatGPT Go, and Duolingo.
Users can subscribe by opening the Shopee app, selecting the ShopeeVIP icon on the “Me” page, choosing a ShopeeVIP+ package and Netflix plan, and completing payment.
