Sony’s latest innovations, the Alpha 9 III camera and FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS telephoto lens, are now open for pre-orders, offering groundbreaking features for photographers and enthusiasts.
Priced at P349,599, the Alpha 9 III comes with a free CEA-G160T CF Express Type A memory card worth P28,900. The FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS, the world’s lightest 300mm telephoto prime lens, is available for P379,990. The pre-order promotion is valid from Jan. 12 to Feb 4, 2024, at authorized dealers nationwide.
Alpha 9 III features
The Alpha 9 III boasts a world-first full-frame global shutter image sensor, providing approximately 24.6 effective megapixels and blackout-free Continuous Shooting Speed of up to 120 frames per second. Its high-density focal plane phase-detection AF and AI processing unit enable real-time subject recognition with precision. The camera’s 8.0 stops of optical 5-axis in-body image stabilization ensure top-notch image quality.

For video enthusiasts, the global shutter image sensor supports distortion-free 4K 120p high-frame-rate video without cropping, a first in the Alpha™ series. Additional features include S-Cinetone™ for enhanced video creation, rich gradation performance, S-Log3, and compatibility with user-imported LUTs. Improved grip design, a 4-axis multi-angle LCD monitor, and a 9.44 million-dot Quad XGA OLED electronic viewfinder enhance operability and comfort.
New workflow features include a playback image filter for efficient selection during high-speed continuous shooting and a function menu usable during image playback. The camera supports up to 20 presets from the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC).
FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS features
The FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS is a G Master telephoto lens incorporating Sony’s cutting-edge technology. Its high-resolution performance and beautiful bokeh make subjects stand out clearly. The lens features an innovative optical design with Super ED and ED glass elements to suppress chromatic aberration and maintain outstanding resolution and contrast across the entire frame.
With high-performance AF, the lens captures dynamic moments and supports high-speed continuous shooting of up to 120 frames per second when combined with the Alpha 9 III. Exceptional mobility is achieved through extensive weight reduction, making it the lightest in its class at approximately 1470g (excluding tripod mount).
