TCL Electronics is giving Philippine dealers a closer look at the automated production, smart controls, and durability testing behind its air conditioners as it works to expand its commercial cooling business in the country.
TCL hosted its first batch of Philippine business-to-business (B2B) dealers at its Guangzhou, China, manufacturing facility on Sept. 23 and 24. The visit covered how residential and commercial air conditioners are built and tested.
“Over the past five years, we have produced more than 100 million air conditioners, reflecting the scale of our manufacturing capabilities,” said Randy Benito Raguero, manager, Business Development, TCL Philippines. “Equally important to us are the partners who bring our products closer to Filipino consumers and businesses. By opening our facilities to them, we want our partners to see firsthand the technology and quality behind our products and strengthen their confidence in representing TCL in a competitive and growing Philippine market.”
At the Guangzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Base, dealers toured a facility with three flexible, highly automated factories, 15 research and development laboratories, and 10 intelligent production lines. They saw how engineering, automation, and quality checks work together during production.
The tour also covered intelligent climate controls and product durability testing. These gave dealers a clearer view of how TCL develops cooling systems for homes and commercial spaces, aside from the features listed in product materials.
For Philippine dealers, that technical knowledge can help when explaining features, answering customer questions, and matching air conditioning systems to different cooling needs. Performance, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability are among the considerations for households and businesses choosing equipment.
The September visit starts a significant dealer program running through the fourth quarter of 2026. TCL plans to bring several batches of dealers and industry stakeholders to Guangzhou, with up to 600 participants expected.
Guangzhou forms part of TCL’s wider air conditioning manufacturing network. Its Zhongshan Base 1 headquarters specializes in outdoor units, window-type and floor-standing air conditioners, and specialized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Other facilities in Zhongshan, Jiujiang, and Wuhan also support production.
The network includes specialized ventures TCL De’Longhi and Rechi Compressor, alongside manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Argentina, and Indonesia. TCL plans additional facilities in Pakistan and Thailand over the next two years as it continues developing its production network and supporting dealers serving residential and commercial customers.
