Short-form video platform TikTok has been involved in various causes as part of its #TikTokShopGiveHopeToLife and #CreatorsGiveBack initiatives, hoping to give assistance and help to those who need it most.

“At TikTok, we believe that authentic expression builds connection and a strong sense of community, which, in turn, brings positive impact,” said Toff Rada, head of Public Policy, Philippines, TikTok. “These initiatives thrive on the active involvement of Filipino TikTok users, creators, sellers, and partners, highlighting the platform’s capability to bring people together for a meaningful cause.”

TikTok Shop, in collaboration with the local NGO HOPE, provided P1.8 million to support the construction of two classrooms at Casini Elementary School, a local primary school in Sorsogon. The donation came from contributions from the platform’s merchants, transforming each sale into a meaningful gesture of support.

It also turned over donations to the National Children’s Hospital (NCH) for the construction of its new building. The turnover ceremony for the #CreatorsGiveBack donations at the NCH marked a significant milestone for TikTok and TikTok Shop. In partnership with Moonton, PLDT Home, ANTA, and through the #CreatorsGiveBack initiative and the 12.12 TikTok Shop live streams, the TikTok community actively participated in generating donations of essential items such as groceries, equipment, and other necessities. These contributions were specifically intended to meet the needs of patients at NCH.
