With the increase in gamers grew during the pandemic — and the number is expected to increase in the coming years — social network platform Twitter revealed that there were more than 2 billion Tweets about gaming in 2020. And there is no letting up this year.

The conversations of gamers and fans around the world range from game announcements, patch notes, highlights from major esports events, or even bets on risky tattoos.

“Gamers from the Philippines have definitely leveled up their voices and excitement on Twitter’s gaming scene in the first half of 2021,” Twitter said. “From the 9th place in 2020, the Philippines now ranks up to 6th surpassing India, France, and the United Kingdom.

“Animal Crossing: New Horizons” dominated 2020, according to Twitter, but this year, “Genshin Impact” is gaining ground along with “Valorant,” “Roblox,” “Minecraft,” and “Among Us.”

Filipino gamers showed their support for their favorite teams and players and connected with the source themselves on Twitter. The most-tweeted esports teams are T1, Sentinels, and OGesports.
