Internet outages can disrupt work, school, or entertainment, even for just a few minutes. PLDT Home said such interruptions are often unavoidable but highlighted its Always On hybrid modem as a way for households to stay online while repairs are underway.

The Always On modem combines fiber and LTE connections in one device. When the fiber connection is disrupted, the modem automatically switches to LTE. Once fiber service is restored, it switches back without requiring any manual setup.

PLDT Home said the modem also creates a fault ticket automatically if it runs on LTE backup for 30 minutes, eliminating the need to contact customer service. Equipped with WiFi 6 technology, the modem supports speeds of up to 1 Gbps, depending on the user’s plan, and works across multiple devices.
