A new multiverse gaming platform named Creta, backed by a team of gaming industry veterans, is set to launch with the announcement of its token listing on the local cryptocurrency exchange, Coins.ph, starting July 8.

Thomas Vu, known for his work as the executive producer of the globally successful “League of Legends” and Netflix’s Emmy-winning series “Arcane,” Ray Eiichiro Nakazato, former VP at Electronic Arts Japan Studio and a key figure at Microsoft Japan Game Studios, introduced Creta to the Philippines at a media event held recently.

“Oftentimes, when you see people build ecosystems, it’s piecemeal,” Vu said. “With Creta, our team has been thoughtful and strategic about building all the pieces together harmoniously, and I think that connective tissue is really important. It’s designed to be ubiquitous in all these different ways, and I suspect that it’s going to catch a lot of people off guard.”

Joining Vu and Nakazato are prominent industry figures such as Kay Youn, CEO of Creta affiliate CCR and lead developer of the iconic game Fortress; Yoshiki Okamoto, the legendary developer behind “Street Fighter 2” and “Monster Strike”; and Joohyung Jang, known for his work on “Lineage” and “Aion.”

“Currently, the team is working on some interesting business models, and the scalability of what we’re building is impressive,” Vu said. “When you think about it, very few teams have 25 plus years of gaming experience – this just doesn’t exist, so the next evolution of existing genres that Creta is working on is going to be interesting.”

Creta is designed to be a decentralized metaverse platform that caters to both gamers and professional game studios, offering Web3 games and new gaming services. One of its standout features is the S2E (Share to Earn) model, which integrates user video sharing with traditional P2E (Play to Earn) and C2E (Create to Earn) mechanisms.

Nakazato elaborated on Creta’s integrated ecosystem during his presentation.

“Within the Creta ecosystem, any game can use our social media features,” he explained. “For instance, when you press the start button, our social media can pop up within the game. You don’t need Discord anymore; it’s all in one integrated environment.”

He also underscored the platform’s use of Locus Chain, a low-cost, highly scalable blockchain developed over seven years. This blockchain technology, tailored by their seasoned engineers, ensures Creta’s operations are both cost-effective and sustainable.

Empowering users further, Creta will feature a proprietary Game Creation Engine. This tool allows users to develop their games and publish them as NFTs, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.

Nakazato concluded by announcing the upcoming release of the Super Club, a gaming and Web 3.0 social media and community platform, set to launch in late July. He articulated Creta’s ambitious vision: “There are 3 billion gamers in the world now, but Web3 is very small [in comparison]. So we’re not trying to target Web3 gamers – we are trying to change the entire gaming industry.”
