Xiaomi has just introduced its latest entry-level smartphone, the Redmi 12, to the Philippine market. Packed with a host of impressive features, this smartphone is designed to provide exceptional value, a superior entertainment experience, and a seamless operating system, all starting at a competitive price of P6,999.

The Redmi 12 offers a sleek and comfortable design, measuring just 8.17mm thick with a premium glass back and an innovative infinite camera design. It also boasts an IP53 rating, making it resilient against everyday dust and splashes. 

For added convenience, it features an 18W Type-C fast charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Available in Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver, it combines functionality with aesthetics.

One of the standout features of the Redmi 12 is its impressive 6.79” FHD+ DotDisplay screen with a 90Hz Adaptive Sync, the largest in the Redmi series. This high-resolution display enhances the viewing experience for various activities, from reading to gaming. It’s also certified for low blue light emission and includes Reading mode 3.0 to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.

Camera system

The phone’s camera system features a 50MP main camera for detailed and precise photography, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Redmi 12 offers seven popular film camera filters for enhanced photography experiences.

Under the hood, the Redmi 12 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, which clocks up to 2.0GHz and supports memory extension. It comes with 1TB expandable storage, ensuring ample space for photos and music. The 5,000mAh battery provides extended usage with up to 23 days of standby time, 133 hours of music playback, 26 hours of online reading, or 16 hours of video streaming. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and can be used as an IR remote.

For a limited time, Xiaomi is offering a special deal on the Redmi 12 8+128GB model at just P6,999, down from the original price of P7,999, exclusively online through Xiaomi’s official global store on Lazada on Sept. 20-29. The 8+256GB variant is available for P8,999 on Shopee and Lazada, also starting Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Xiaomi is offering a 0% interest installment plan for a 6-month term via Home Credit, available from Sept. 29 onwards.

The higher-storage variant will be available at authorized Xiaomi stores nationwide and Xiaomi Philippines’ TikTok Shop starting Sept. 30.
