Technology company Acer hosted the first Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025 in Bangkok, bringing together educators, policymakers, and technology leaders to discuss the role of AI and digital tools in shaping the future of education.

With the theme “Shaping Tomorrow: AI and Digital Technologies in Education,” the summit featured speakers and participants from the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, South Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan. The goal was to share practical ways to bring technology into the classroom, promote digital literacy, and prepare students for a changing learning environment.

“Digitalization has demonstrated its capabilities to complement, enrich, and transform education, and Acer created this summit as a catalyst for innovation,” said Andrew Hou, president of Pan Asia Pacific, Acer.

Tech solutions for classrooms

Acer highlighted its ecosystem of AI-enhanced devices, digital learning tools, and education-focused technology designed to support teachers, simplify administrative tasks, and keep students engaged.

The event also featured booths from partners such as Intel, Windows, and Google. Aopen, SpatialLabs, and Predator Gaming presented examples of how esports and immersive technologies can be used in schools.

Altos, a brand under Acer, introduced new AI server systems developed to handle growing demands in AI processing and large-scale training models.

Focus on AI server performance

One of the servers presented was the Altos BrainSphere R680 F7, which supports up to eight Nvidia RTX 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. This system is intended for graphics-heavy and AI-based workloads.

The second was the Altos BrainSphere R880 F7, built on the HGX platform and powered by the NVIDIA B200 Blackwell Ultra GPU. This model is tailored for training large language models and generative AI tasks, while maintaining energy efficiency.

These systems reflect Altos’ direction in supporting AI efforts not only in education but also in the enterprise and research sectors.
