Anaplan, a cloud-based platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) for scenario planning and business analysis, has appointed Simone Pigason as its new country head for the Philippines.

In her new role, Pigason will lead Anaplan’s growth in the local market and work with Philippine companies to improve their planning and decision-making processes.

Pigason has more than two decades of experience in the enterprise software industry. She previously held leadership positions at technology firms such as SAP, Delaware, and San Miguel Corp., focusing on digital transformation and business strategy.

“I am excited to lead Anaplan in the Philippines and equip local businesses with the tools to navigate complexity and drive performance,” Pigason said. “In today’s fast-paced world, traditional and isolated planning methods are no longer effective.”

She added that businesses need to connect their strategic vision with daily operations in real time. According to her, integrating AI into planning enables organizations to gain predictive insights, automate complex decisions, and improve functions like finance, supply chain, and human resources.

Anaplan’s platform is designed to connect data, people, and planning across organizations. It allows businesses to test scenarios, forecast outcomes, and make faster, more agile decisions. Both local and international companies use the system to streamline operations in areas such as finance, sales, and workforce management.

“We have full confidence in Simone’s extensive knowledge of the industry and her proven leadership skills to guide our growth in the Philippines,” said Magdalena Hendrata, area VP for Asia at Anaplan. “The country’s dynamic economy and rapid digitalization present a significant opportunity for connected planning. We are dedicated to providing Simone and her team with the necessary support from our regional and global resources to help Filipino businesses build resilience and agility to thrive.”

Anaplan noted that Pigason’s appointment comes at a time when businesses in the Philippines are navigating a changing economic environment. Effective planning, the company said, can help organizations optimize resources, manage inventory, and align workforce strategies with business goals, strengthening competitiveness and contributing to the broader economy.
