Fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. blocked nearly 12 billion attempts to access websites hosting dangerous, inappropriate, and harmful content through its network in 2025.

The company also blacklisted more than 72,000 domains and web addresses linked to prohibited content as part of its efforts to protect customers, particularly children, from online threats, exploitation, and violence.

“We have always taken a hard-line position against dangerous and illicit content that harms the most vulnerable in our society, especially our children,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO, Converge.

Uy said Converge continues to invest in tools that protect its network and customers from harmful content and cyberthreats. Blocking these websites also helps reduce the risk that prohibited material will spread through its broadband network.

Converge works with the Department of Information and Communications Technology, National Telecommunications Commission, Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, Philippine National Police, and international organizations such as the Internet Watch Foundation.

The partnerships cover efforts to stop illegal online activities, including content showing extreme violence.

Converge said it follows due process when blocking harmful websites in line with its Human Rights Policy. It also implements a Child Online Safeguarding Policy focused on providing children with a safer internet experience.

Uy said the company will continue working with the government and industry to improve online safety.
