The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Education (DepEd) and business school Thames International to establish a specialized Senior High School E-commerce Track.

The Senior High School E-commerce Track aims to equip students with essential skills in e-commerce, including online marketing, digital product development, and customer service, while fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to encourage creative and innovative thinking.

“This collaboration to launch the e-commerce track for senior high school students is a testament to our shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of Filipino entrepreneurs and digital leaders,” said Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual.

He highlighted DTI’s ongoing efforts to equip Filipinos with the necessary skills to succeed in the digital economy.

Set to launch in the upcoming school year, the program will be piloted in 15 senior high schools in the National Capital Region, with plans for future nationwide expansion.

The DTI, DepEd, and Thames International School are optimistic that the E-commerce Track will enhance the skills and knowledge of Filipino students, contributing to the development of a more robust and competitive e-commerce ecosystem in the Philippines.
