Garmin has introduced three new devices under its Approach golf lineup, aiming to help golfers track their performance and stay on the course longer. The new range includes the Approach S50 GPS smartwatch, Approach CT1 tracking tags, and the solar-powered Approach G20 handheld.

“We designed the Approach S50 smartwatch for golfers who want useful information to improve their game,” said Dan Bartel, VP of global consumer sales at Garmin. “The CT1 tags provide seamless shot data, and the G20 Solar offers golfers more playtime with its solar-powered display.”

The Approach S50 smartwatch combines golf-specific tools with wellness features. It includes a heart rate sensor, stress and sleep tracking, energy level monitoring, and activity profiles like yoga and cardio. It also offers a morning report and fitness age feature to help golfers manage both physical performance and recovery.

The CT1 tracking tags are small devices that attach to golf clubs and work with the S50 watch. By tapping the club before each shot, golfers can collect data on distances and accuracy. Players can then review their performance using the Garmin Golf app.

The Approach G20 Solar, Garmin’s first solar-powered GPS golf handheld, is built for extended rounds. It has a sunlight-readable screen, preloaded courses, and a built-in magnet for mounting on a golf cart. With solar support, it can last through 36 rounds even without charging. It also syncs with the Garmin Golf app to display wind data and keep score.

The Approach S50 (₱25,990), G20 Solar (₱19,490), and CT1 tags (₱6,490) are now available in the Philippines.
