GCash is offering two health plans through GInsure Health, giving Filipino families a way to buy critical illness insurance or pay for routine medical care through the app.

The options address different costs. Oona Insurance provides a cash payout if a covered family member is diagnosed with a critical illness. KwikCare HMO offers access to consultations, tests, and hospital care. For freelancers, gig workers, and small business owners who do not receive an HMO from an employer, the plans provide another way to arrange health coverage.

The Oona All-in-One Health Plan starts at ₱48 a month per family member. Users can cover up to four family members, with coverage of up to ₱100,000. The plan provides a lump-sum cash payout upon diagnosis of covered critical illnesses, including cancer, stroke, and heart attack. It also includes accidental disability coverage and a daily hospital allowance.

KwikCare HMO starts at ₱995 a month. It provides cashless access to more than 2,000 accredited hospitals and clinics nationwide for services including doctor consultations, laboratory tests, and inpatient and outpatient procedures. Its plan tiers have a maximum benefit limit of up to ₱350,000.

Users can add a spouse, children, or parents as dependents through the GCash app. To apply, they can open GInsure, select Health, choose an Oona Insurance or KwikCare HMO plan, enter their details, answer four health questions, and review the application.

The monthly starting prices make the plans easier to compare at a glance, but families will need to check each plan’s covered conditions, benefit limits, and terms before choosing one. The Oona plan is meant to provide cash after a covered serious diagnosis, while KwikCare is designed to help pay for medical services as they are needed.
