Equinix Inc., a digital infrastructure company, has appointed Ireen Go-Catane as managing director, Philippines, effective Nov. 9, 2026, to lead its local business as it serves demand for cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
The company operates three data centers in Manila, providing more than 1,000 cabinets for equipment. The facilities host network service providers and four of Manila’s main internet exchanges, where networks connect to exchange data.
“Ireen is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in business transformation and the Philippine market,” said Max Parry, vice president, Growth and Emerging Markets, Asia-Pacific, Equinix. “I am confident she will help our customers capture new opportunities in cloud and AI, leading Equinix’s next phase of growth and contributing to the continued advancement of the Philippines’ digital economy.”
Based in Manila, Go-Catane will oversee Equinix’s Philippine operations, grow its business, and support customers adopting digital services.
Equinix entered the Philippines in 2025. Its Manila facilities form part of a Southeast Asian network that includes Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, giving businesses connections to networks and services across markets.
Go-Catane brings more than 30 years of experience in the information and communications technology industry. She joins Equinix from Schneider Electric Philippines, where she served as country president and led business growth, sustainability, and inclusion initiatives.
She has also held senior leadership positions at NTT Philippines, Microsoft, Voyager Innovations, Samsung, IBM, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard. Her experience covers business management, sales channels, and bringing products and services to market.
“I am thrilled to join Equinix and grow our presence in the Philippines,” said Go-Catane. “As customers navigate increasingly complex technology and business requirements in the age of cloud and AI, Equinix is well positioned to provide the infrastructure, interconnection, and ecosystem access they need to scale with confidence. I look forward to working with our team to strengthen Equinix’s market position and contribute meaningfully to the Philippines’ growing digital economy.”
