Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) received its third consecutive Four Golden Arrow Award from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), which assesses how companies handle shareholder rights, transparency, and board responsibilities.
The recognition is based on the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) and Corporate Governance Scorecard (CGS). These assessments use publicly disclosed information to evaluate corporate governance, including how companies manage relationships with stakeholders.
“Good corporate governance goes beyond compliance with established standards,” said Arnulfo Pascioles Jr., head of Compliance, Metrobank. “It is about doing what is right, making sound decisions, and being accountable to those who place their trust in us. This recognition affirms our commitment to upholding these principles and making them integral to how we conduct our business.”
Metrobank said its governance practices cover both board oversight and everyday business decisions. These practices emphasize accountability, fairness, transparency, and ethical leadership across the organization.
The bank said these measures help protect the interests of customers, shareholders, and the communities it serves.
The Golden Arrow Awards annually recognize publicly listed companies and insurance companies for their corporate governance practices.
