Lazada partners with to provide free COVID-19 insurance to customers

E-commerce platform Lazada has partnered with insurance marketplace to provide customers with free COVID-19 insurance.

For every bills payment transaction done by a Lazada customer via the Lazada Wallet, they will be eligible for free COVID-19 insurance. The customer will instantly receive a free voucher for a product, the COVID-19 Kwik Assist, which provides P10,500 one-month coverage for accidental death, death due to sickness, and death due to COVID-19.

“Through our partnership with Lazada, we provide millions of Filipinos the opportunity to have insurance against COVID-19,” said Hamilton Angluben, founder and CEO of “Given our country’s low insurance penetration rate, it will be the first time for a majority of them to have an insurance policy. The goal is to educate more people about the value of insurance and learn how easy it is to be protected.”

The promo will run until October 2021 and customers can earn and stack up to 10 insurance vouchers per month.

Aside from forming ties with the e-commerce giant, now also offers deals and insurance product bundles to businesses. This initiative is motivated by the company’s mission to increase insurance penetration in the country and to educate more people about insurance.
