Lenovo is expanding its Lenovo & Motorola Qira personal AI to eligible PCs with 16GB of memory, more Motorola devices, and work apps including Gmail, Slack, and Outlook, widening access to tools that bring information from different devices into one interface.
Announced at Lenovo Innovation World during IFA 2026, the expansion includes a collaboration with Workato to connect email, calendars, contacts, and collaboration services. Users can find information and complete actions through Qira, with their permission, instead of opening each app separately.
Lenovo & Motorola Qira is a personal AI assistant that works across compatible PCs, phones, tablets, and wearables, helping users find information, catch up on updates, and complete tasks without switching between apps or devices.
“Personal AI should not be another app waiting for a prompt,” said Dan Dery, vice president of AI Ecosystem, Lenovo. “It should understand what matters to you, move with you across devices and help orchestrate next steps across the agents, applications and services you choose. With this next evolution of Lenovo & Motorola Qira, we are bringing that vision closer to reality through intelligence that is built into the device, designed around the individual and developed with privacy, choice and control at its core.”
Qira’s Catch Me Up feature brings together updates such as changed calendar events, emails, and group chats. Supported integrations include Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Slack, Outlook Mail, and Outlook Calendar.
Lenovo is collaborating with Notion so users can retrieve project information and edit content through Qira. An expanded Perplexity integration will support deeper research, including visual references.
Support for eligible Lenovo PCs with 16GB of memory extends access beyond higher-memory configurations. Eligible users can download Lenovo Qira from Lenovo’s website, with preinstallation on supported devices planned later.
Motorola Qira will reach eligible smartphones and tablets as they receive Android 17, including select edge, signature, and razr devices. The rollout will be gradual, with schedules varying by device and market.
The moto watch ultra will become the first wearable supporting Qira. Users can raise their wrist or say “Hey Qira” to ask questions or access information drawn from connected devices.
Lenovo said Qira prioritizes processing on the device where supported. Information added to a user’s personal knowledge base is encrypted and stored locally. Cloud requests send only the prompt and relevant context through encrypted services.
Since its rollout, Qira has reached more than 80 supported PC configurations, select tablets, and Motorola smartphones. It supports six languages, with more planned. Lenovo expects device families by year-end. Feature availability depends on device, market, and configuration; some functions require updates, account sign-in, internet access, or user permission.
