MyFintech Week (MyFW) will return for its third edition on Aug. 4-7, 2025, to explore the trends and challenges reshaping the financial sector. The event comes as Malaysia takes on the ASEAN Chairmanship, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and shared growth in the fintech space.

The event, themed “Ideate, Innovate, Co-create: Shaping the Future of Finance,” will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators through masterclasses, hackathons, and high-level discussions. Participants are expected to share insights on how technology, regulation, and societal needs are transforming finance across the region.

MyFW 2025 is co-organized by Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers, Fintech Association of Malaysia, and Malaysia Digital Economy Corp.

This year’s program will examine how artificial intelligence, blockchain, and open finance are reshaping services, alongside efforts to build secure digital asset ecosystems through regulatory alignment and responsible innovation. It will also discuss how Islamic and social finance can increase socio-economic impact, expand access to climate and nature financing, and promote financial literacy and inclusive solutions to help communities make informed decisions. The event will further highlight investment opportunities, talent development, and strategies to improve cybersecurity and operational resilience, while fostering collaboration to prevent fraud and strengthen infrastructure.

Organizers said MyFW 2025 aims to advance policy alignment, ecosystem development, and responsible innovation while supporting financial inclusion efforts and strengthening Malaysia’s role in the regional fintech landscape.
