Grab Philippines has appointed Ronald Roda as its new country head, following the promotion of Grace Vera Cruz to a regional leadership role. Vera Cruz, who previously held the position for four years, now oversees Regional Corporate Strategy for the company.
Roda, who was previously the chief operating officer, has been with Grab for over six years. He played a key role in expanding GrabCar’s presence, growing its operations from eight cities to over 200 across the Philippines. During the pandemic, Roda helped ensure the continuity of GrabCar’s services, navigating various restrictions and challenges.

One of his most key contributions has been creating of over 72,000 livelihood opportunities in the first half of 2024, bringing the total to over 277,000 since 2023. This aligns with Grab’s commitment to generating 500,000 jobs in the Philippines over the next five years.
The company emphasized that this leadership transition was part of a broader effort to train local talent to take on key roles.
Roda holds a degree in Applied Economics from De La Salle University and has completed a six-month program at Harvard Business School. Before joining Grab, he held leadership positions at companies like Indosat Ooredoo, Accenture, and Globe.
