Samsung Electronics is setting the stage for the next Galaxy Z series, describing its upcoming foldables as thinner, lighter, and built to last.

While people have long valued smartphones for their power, convenience, and usability, Samsung said users also want a device that blends versatility with portability. This need has guided its ongoing work on foldable smartphones.

First introduced in 2019, the Galaxy Fold combined the portability of a smartphone with the productivity of a tablet. Samsung said it challenged the usual idea of what a smartphone could be by introducing a durable hinge and a display that folds, features inspired by other industries.

Portability and durability

Samsung added that each generation of the Galaxy Z series has been refined to improve thickness, weight, and durability. That effort continues this year.

Samsung said the newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet, and it is meticulously crafted and built to last.

The upcoming devices show Samsung’s vision for mobile design, where creativity and practicality work together to unlock new possibilities.
