E-commerce platform Shopee has introduced the Shopee Tatak Pinoy: Sibol Accelerator Program (SAP), a six-month initiative to help high-potential Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) expand their businesses online. The program is part of the broader Shopee Tatak Pinoy campaign, which promotes local sellers and products.
The Sibol Accelerator is designed to provide selected MSMEs with mentorship, access to Shopee experts, and tailored support to build stronger business foundations and achieve long-term growth.
“Shopee’s Tatak Pinoy program has always been about championing local—local sellers, local products, and Pinoy pride,” said Vincent Lee, head of Shopee Philippines. “This year, we’re taking that commitment further by offering hands-on support for MSMEs at every stage, from first-time sellers to established businesses ready to scale.”
The program will start in the fourth quarter of 2025 with an intensive bootcamp, followed by structured guidance and milestone-based incentives. Participants will undergo coaching and mentorship from Shopee’s business partners and global experts, who will provide training on digital business strategies, marketing, content optimization, and customer experience.
Sellers joining the program will receive a customized growth plan tailored to their business goals. The approach focuses on improving visibility, strengthening branding, enhancing fulfillment and service quality, and applying data-driven planning to track performance and guide growth.
The pilot run of the Sibol Accelerator will be invitation-only and will include 20 local MSMEs that show consistent activity, commitment to customers, and readiness to scale.
Shopee said the program is designed for entrepreneurs who are not only looking to expand their businesses but are also driven to contribute to the local digital economy and support fellow entrepreneurs.
