Global cybersecurity company Sophos has appointed Amy Chua as director, Channels for ASEAN and Korea, as the company pushes deeper into partner-led cybersecurity sales across the region.

The appointment highlights Sophos’ continued focus on its “channel-first” strategy, where distributors, resellers, and managed service providers play a significant role in delivering cybersecurity products and services to businesses.

Chua will oversee partner strategy and execution across Southeast Asia (SEA) and Korea, leading efforts to expand Sophos’ distributor and partner ecosystem, improve sales operations, and strengthen go-to-market programs for channel partners.

“ASEAN and Korea remain important growth markets for Sophos, and our partners play a central role in how we scale and deliver stronger cybersecurity outcomes for customers,” said Chad Cleevely, senior director, channel sales, Asia Pacific and Japan, Sophos.

Cleevely said Chua brings strong operational and channel experience that will help Sophos strengthen its partner ecosystem and accelerate regional growth.

Cybersecurity spending in Southeast Asia continues to increase as companies deal with ransomware, phishing, and AI-powered cyberattacks. Organizations across the Philippines and neighboring markets are also increasing investments in managed security services due to a shortage of cybersecurity professionals.

Sophos said Chua will help partners address increasingly complex threats using data-driven and AI-enabled security approaches.

“Sophos’ channel-first DNA ensures our partners are the primary engine for delivering cybersecurity at scale,” Chua said. “I look forward to partnering with our ASEAN and Korea ecosystems to sharpen our collective capabilities and unlock new growth, ensuring our customers can navigate today’s sophisticated threat landscape with absolute resilience.”

Chua brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector. Before joining Sophos, she held leadership roles at Google and Microsoft, where she worked on sales strategy, channel development, and regional expansion initiatives.

Her appointment adds to Sophos’ regional expansion efforts as cybersecurity vendors compete for growing enterprise demand across SEA, including the Philippines, where businesses are increasing spending on cyber defense and compliance technologies.
