Cybersecurity company Sophos has named Malis Selamat as its new managing director for ASEAN, Greater China, and Korea. She will lead the company’s efforts to grow in these regions and strengthen its work with business partners.
Selamat brings more than two decades of experience in tech, sales, and partner management. At Sophos, she will focus on helping more companies adopt cybersecurity solutions and respond to fast-changing threats.
“I am excited to join Sophos at such a pivotal time in the cybersecurity industry,” said Selamat. “As cyber threats become more complex and widespread, organizations are seeking innovative solutions to stay ahead. I look forward to working with our team and partners to drive growth, foster collaboration, and deliver impactful security strategies that empower organizations to best defend their businesses from persistent threats.”
She previously led corporate sales for Southeast Asia at Google, where she also served as country manager for the Philippines and Vietnam. Before that, she held leadership roles at VMware, McAfee, Citrix, and Qlik.
“Malis’ impressive track record of helping businesses strengthen their cybersecurity postures and driving digital transformation in the region makes her an invaluable addition to Sophos,” said Gavin Struthers, senior vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow our footprint and reinforce our market leadership across ASEAN, Greater China, and Korea.”
