Stratpoint Technologies, a player in digital transformation through software, quality assurance, Cloud, data, and artificial intelligence (AI), has announced the appointment of Zayd Tolentino as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
With a career spanning 15 years, Tolentino brings extensive expertise in digital transformation, having worked across various industries including fintech, insurtech, social media, telco, logistics, power utility, and HRTech.
“Zayd’s visionary approach to technology will be instrumental in positioning Stratpoint at the pole position of technology companies and, more importantly, delivering value to our customers,” said Mary Rose dela Cruz, CEO of Stratpoint.
In 2019, Tolentino co-founded Workbean, where he served as the chief technology officer for over three years. At Workbean, a platform dedicated to enhancing the workplace culture through innovative tech solutions, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technical direction and building its core product offerings.
After his stint at Workbean, Tolentino took on the role of chief technology officer at Singlife Philippines, a digital life insurer. Here, he led efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology into the company’s operations, enhancing their service delivery and customer experience in the insurance sector.
In October 2023, Tolentino transitioned to Magpie.IM Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based firm focused on conversational AI and customer engagement solutions. As the chief digital officer and VP for Developer Advocacy & Community, he was responsible for steering digital strategy and fostering a vibrant developer community.
Stratpoint Technologies
Tolentino initially joined Stratpoint last year on a consultancy basis as a FCTO. In this capacity, he provided strategic guidance and helped steer the company’s technological direction. His contributions were so impactful that they led to his full-time appointment as Stratpoint’s CTO in June 2024.
In his new role, Tolentino will be at the forefront of driving technological strategy and innovations within Stratpoint and its venture arm, Stratpoint Venture Studios. His responsibilities include overseeing developing and deploying advanced technologies designed to provide a competitive edge to Stratpoint’s clientele. Under his leadership, the company aims to enhance its capabilities in solution delivery and product development, continuing its mission to highlight Filipino tech talent on a global stage.
