TCL Philippines unveiled a refurbished basketball court at Araullo High School in Manila, marking Olympic Day with a sports clinic for student-athletes and coaches.

The TCL Basketball Camp gathered 40 young athletes, guided by professional and collegiate players. The camp was led by Better BasketballPH Skills Camp and featured appearances by UP Fighting Maroon and Korean Basketball League Rookie of the Year JD Cagulangan, who joined drills and shared insights with participants.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the upgraded TCL basketball court. The indoor space spans 4,700 square feet, while the outdoor area covers 2,072 square feet. Paint materials for the renovation were provided in collaboration with Rain or Shine. In addition, TCL donated televisions and air-conditioning units worth ₱300,000 to improve the school’s facilities.

“As we celebrate International Olympic Day and our status as the Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, this basketball clinic perfectly embodies TCL’s commitment to ‘Inspire Greatness’ among hopeful kids who aspire to do their best in the field of basketball,” said Peter Chen, CEO of TCL Philippines.

Blackwater head coach and TCL brand partner Jeffrey Cariaso also joined the event. He held a coaching session for Araullo High School’s PE teachers, joined by Mr. Augusto Baldoz, Head Teacher VI of the MAPEH Department.

“Through this endeavor, we aim to impart Olympic values to our Filipinos. We hope our partnership with Araullo High School becomes a hub for more vibrant, engaging activities, inspiring people to connect and celebrate through sports,” Chen said.

The event is part of TCL’s lead-up to the 2025 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, as the brand continues efforts to promote sports and culture through technology and collaboration with the International Olympic Committee.
