Emirates has restored 96% of its global flight network after a period of disruption, indicating a near-complete recovery in international travel operations and strengthening Dubai’s role as a global transit hub for long-haul passengers, including travelers from the Philippines.
The airline now operates to 137 destinations across 72 countries, with more than 1,300 weekly frequencies, or about 75% of its pre-disruption capacity. Services have been progressively restored across key regions, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East and GCC, the Far East, and Australasia.
Despite operating on a reduced schedule during the disruption period, Emirates carried 4.7 million passengers, highlighting sustained global demand for air travel and continued reliance on the carrier’s Dubai hub for international connections.
For Filipino travelers, Emirates remains a key long-haul carrier for routes connecting Manila, Cebu, and other points in Asia to Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas via Dubai.
Emirates said it continues to position its onboard experience as its main competitive advantage, especially as global travel demand increases.
Passengers receive multi-course meals designed by award-winning chefs, with menus tailored to different regions. The airline’s ice in-flight entertainment system offers more than 6,500 channels of content in nearly 40 languages, covering movies, TV shows, music, podcasts, games, and audiobooks.
Connectivity is also expanding. Emirates now has Starlink-powered Wi-Fi live on 28 aircraft, offering high-speed internet access at cruising altitude, a growing priority for business and leisure travelers who need constant connectivity.
Emirates is also expanding customer incentives to encourage travel confidence and repeat bookings.
Customers who booked from April 2 can change travel dates once for free across all cabin classes. Emirates also allows travelers to hold fares for 24 hours at no cost.
For passengers with long layovers in Dubai, the Dubai Connect program offers complimentary hotel stays at four- or five-star properties, along with airport transfers, meals, and UAE entry visas for eligible transit times between six and 26 hours. The service can be booked up to 12 hours before travel.
The airline’s loyalty program, Emirates Skywards, is also offering faster tier progression and Bonus Tier Miles from May 8 to Aug. 31, 2026, on Emirates and flydubai flights.
