Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. has partnered with the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AFPSLAI), a non-stock, non-profit financial institution serving members of the military and police, to start Phase 2 of the Records Digitization Project to modernize loan processing operations.
The first phase of the project digitized millions of membership records. The second phase will automate loan records using Canon’s Therefore Document Management System. Canon Business Services is tasked to digitize about 15 million pages within six months. The system will allow AFPSLAI to store loan data in a centralized, secure, and easily retrievable format.
“Phase 2 marks our move from digitization to full workflow automation, helping AFPSLAI achieve smarter records management and faster service delivery,” said Kenichiro Kitamura, head of Business Imaging Solutions Division, Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc.
The project also supports compliance with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Digitization of Customer Records (DIGICUR) requirements. It is expected to make loan services faster, more secure, and more efficient for AFPSLAI members.
