Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (Converge), a fiber internet provider, is venturing into the streaming services industry with the launch of BlastTV, which will be operated in partnership with TapDMV, a media and entertainment company.

BlastTV is a streaming television service that features entertainment, lifestyle, and sports content available for free to all Converge subscribers. BlastTV’s global content partners include NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, MGM Television, and Lionsgate.

“BlastTV marks our latest stride in transforming the digital entertainment landscape in the Philippines,” said Dennis Uy, co-founder and CEO of Converge.

BlastTV has a lineup of entertainment channels grouped into categories:

  • Family Movies
  • Fear
  • Blast Action
  • Reality TV
  • Laff, 
  • Crime TV
  • Talk Shows
  • Game Show Central
  • Comic U
  • Showcase Drama
  • Video on Demand

Converge subscribers will also have access to a variety of branded sports channels, such as Sports+, Golf+, Fight Ticket, Cue, BlastFC, UFC TV, Outdoor Channel, and USA Today Sports.

“BlastTV is an accessible platform within the comfortable confines of your Wi-Fi-enabled home that caters to the viewing interests of every household member,” said Celinda de Guia, president and CEO of TapDMV. “Whether you are using your tablet, laptop, or smart TV in your house, BlastTV has curated a content line-up that is as varied as it is engaging.”

BlastTV will be available to every Converge subscriber as a complementary value-added service indefinitely under the first-in-the-market “Watch Now, Pay Zero” initiative.
