Epson, a technology company known for printers and imaging equipment, has introduced the WorkForce Enterprise AM-M5500, its first A3 mono mid-range model in the WorkForce Enterprise Series. The new printer is designed to meet demand for high-speed, high-volume mono printing in offices, with a print speed of 55 pages per minute.
The Epson AM-M5500 is designed for organizations that need reliable, fast, and space-efficient mono document printing. Epson highlighted its compact design and energy-efficient performance as key features.

The printer can also scan up to 70 images per minute for simplex documents and 140 images per minute for duplex documents. It comes with an updated design, including a large, tiltable 10.1-inch LCD touchscreen and a consistent interface across all AM-series models, making it easy to use.
The model offers scalable options, such as dual cassettes for a floor-standing setup, expanded paper capacity, and several finishing tools like stapling, booklet finishing, and a space-saving inner finisher.
Powered by Epson’s Heat-Free Technology, the AM-M5500 consumes up to 85% less energy than traditional laser printers, helping lower electricity costs and reduce carbon emissions.
The printer is also built with sustainability in mind, using 30% recycled plastic and packaging made of 80% recycled paper. It is designed to produce less waste by requiring fewer replacement parts and consumables. A power monitoring feature shows the device’s average energy use over time, while a green leaf icon encourages duplex printing to save paper.
Epson said the AM-M5500 is suited for offices with high mono printing needs and limited space, combining speed, reliability, and environmentally conscious features.
