NetApp, an intelligent data infrastructure company, has named Kenneth Poh as its new country manager for Singapore and the Philippines. Poh will oversee the company’s operations and strategies in both markets, with a focus on expanding business opportunities and strengthening ties with customers and partners.

“Kenneth’s track record in driving business growth and helping organizations become more intelligent makes him an excellent leader for our efforts to unlock the full potential of customers’ data,” said Henry Kho, area vice president and general manager for Greater China, Asean, and Korea at NetApp. “With his leadership, I am confident we can scale our operations and realize our growth goals in Southeast Asia.”

Poh brings more than 20 years of experience in IT, focused on storage, AI, and big data. Before joining NetApp, he served as district director for the public and corporate segment at Dell Technologies, where he led a high-performing sales team and helped expand the company’s footprint. Poh has also held leadership positions at companies such as Dell EMC, Oracle, HP, and Sun Microsystems.

“It’s a privilege to join NetApp, a company that has been a consistent innovator in the data storage industry,” said Poh. “With initiatives like Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 and the Philippines’ National AI Roadmap, the region is at a pivotal point in AI development. I look forward to helping businesses in these markets become more innovative and resilient through NetApp’s decades of expertise in data and intelligence.”

The appointment comes at a time when organizations are increasingly prioritizing investments in data management and infrastructure. According to NetApp’s 2024 Data Complexity Report, 49% of technology executives in Singapore see these investments as essential for navigating challenges like data complexity, security, and sustainability in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).
