Xiaomi is set to host the latest edition of its Xiaomi Pop Run on Aug. 31 at the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City. This event, which has become a fixture in the local running community, will continue its tradition of encouraging Filipinos to engage in competitive and recreational running.
This year’s Xiaomi Pop Run 2024 offers two distinct categories: a Professional Race and a Fun Run. The Professional Race is a competitive 10-kilometer run where participants will not only compete for the fastest time but also vie for a range of prizes from Xiaomi. The winner of the Professional Race will receive a Xiaomi 13T smartphone, while the runners-up will receive a Xiaomi Watch S2 and Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo.
For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, the Fun Run offers a 5-kilometer route with no time rankings. This category is designed for participants to enjoy a stress-free run, allowing them to challenge themselves without the pressure of competition.
Due to strong interest in the event, the initial registration slots have already been filled. However, Xiaomi has announced that additional slots will soon be made available. Participants who register early will receive a race kit, which includes an exclusive race T-shirt, a finisher bag, a fascia ball, and a finisher’s medal. Those who register later are encouraged to wear orange during the race to join in the spirit of the event.
Xiaomi Smart Band 9
Xiaomi also recommends that participants enhance their experience with a fitness wearable, particularly the upcoming Xiaomi Smart Band 9. This device will enable runners to track vital metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, steps, and blood pressure, helping them to get the most out of their run.
