Teleperformance (TP) in the Philippines received a Gold Anvil Award for its TP Skills Training to Employment Program (TP STEP) at the 60th Anvil Awards, organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). The program was also a finalist for the Grand Anvil Award.
TP STEP is part of TP’s Impact Sourcing program, which provides skills training and employment opportunities to underprivileged individuals. It aims to support marginalized groups, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), long-term unemployed individuals, former Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and those from underserved communities.
“Winning this award is a proud moment for all of us at TP as it affirms our commitment to creating a truly inclusive workplace and driving meaningful change in society,” said Jeffrey Johnson, chief people officer of TP in the Philippines. “This also reflects the dedication and shared vision of our teams and partners in empowering individuals with opportunities to transform their lives.”
Since its launch in 2023, TP STEP has collaborated with 25 community organizations, local government units, non-governmental organizations, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) training centers. In 2024, a partnership with Pasig City resulted in an 88% hire rate, showing the program’s impact.
TP plans to bring TP STEP to more cities, including Quezon City, Taguig City, Pampanga, and Davao. The initiative is also part of TP for All, which supports countryside development and connects talent from provinces to the global IT-BPM industry.
With this recognition, TP continues to focus on sustainable employment initiatives that benefit communities and contribute to economic growth.
