Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) finally released the addition to its Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) lineup: the All-New Toyota GR 86.

After its first local appearance at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival in July and the start of pre-orders announced during 8.6 Day last Aug. 6, the GR 86 is now officially available in TMP’s GR Performance Dealerships nationwide.

The All-New Toyota GR 86 is an upgrade to Toyota 86 line. Now branded with the GR badge, the GR 86 comes in with greater steering feedback and sharper handling.

The All-New GR 86 is available in Automatic (A/T) and Manual (M/T) transmission variants and features a keyless Smart Entry and Push Start systems.

The Toyota GR8 is built with a hefty 2.4L 4-cylinder, horizontally opposed, DOHC, 16-valve engine. It is a full-blooded sports car that promises a powerful performance at 237PS and 250Nm maximum output and maximum torque. The All-New Toyota GR 86 comes with safety features like SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HSA), and Limited Slip Differential (LSD), which are all safety staples in both the A/T and M/T.

Aside from these safety features, the A/T variant also comes with a GR Active Safety Suite, a combination of special safety features which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).

Price starts at around P2.3 million for M/T and around P2.5 million for A/T. It is available in Ignition Red, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Bright Blue, and Sapphire Blue Pearl.
