Toyota Motor Philippines achieves 2 million sales milestone

Automotive manufacturer and mobility company Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has announced that it has sold more than 2 million units in the country since it started operations in 1988.

“Surpassing the two million mark would not be possible without the support of our loyal Toyota and Lexus customers, the commitment of our 73-strong Toyota dealer network, and of course the sense of ownership that every TMP team member has to our goal and responsibility of providing mobility for all. Thank you for making the Philippines a Toyota country,” said Atsuhiro Okamoto, president, TMP.

With a vision of having a globally competitive automotive manufacturing industry in the country, Dr. George SK Ty established TMP through a strong partnership among GT Capital Holdings, Toyota Motor Corporation, and Mitsui & Co., LTD. Over the past 34 years, TMP has grown to be one of the top corporations in the country.
