A satellite workshop of the Philippine Computing Science Congress (PCSC) 2024 is set to take place on May 12, 2024, at the Adventist University of the Philippines in Silang Cavite. Titled “Workshop on Quantum Computing (Algorithms and Programming),” the event aims to familiarize the computing community in the country with the concepts and programming aspects of quantum computing.
The workshop intends to gather individuals interested in quantum computing to discuss its potential to solve complex problems and its current limitations. With a focus on creating a conducive environment for sharing experiences and outputs, the workshop aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding and appreciation of quantum computing.

Participants are invited to submit extended abstracts of their work, with emphasis on the problem addressed, the quantum computing technique utilized, computational results, and conclusions. Works-in-progress, interactive demos, and position papers contributing to Quantum Information, Communication, and Technology (QICT) research in the Philippines are encouraged.
