Level Infinite and developer Sharkmob have unveiled the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming tactical open-world extraction shooter, Exoborne. The game, set for release on PC and consoles, is featured at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne. Attendees can find the game at the Level Infinite booth in Hall 6.
Exoborne introduces players to a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by warring factions and elemental chaos. Players assume the role of “Reborn,” survivors equipped with Exo-Rigs that grant them powerful abilities. These abilities are essential for navigating the hostile environment and engaging in combat.
The development team has emphasized community involvement, adopting a “test early – test often” approach. Following a recent closed online test, players interested in participating in future testing can sign up on the game’s homepage for updates and opportunities.
At Gamescom, Sharkmob will offer a range of interactive experiences at their booth. Highlights include gameplay presentations, Exo-Rig-themed cosplay, stage shows, and a game-inspired data treasure hunt. Additional details about these activities and other Gamescom events will be shared on the game’s social media channels.
Exoborne features dynamic elements such as shifting environmental conditions, verticality in exploration, and an emphasis on scavenging and customization. The game’s extraction gameplay adds a layer of risk versus reward, challenging players to balance the pursuit of valuable loot with the danger of losing everything.
