Epson, known for desktop color label printers, has introduced its latest product, the ColorWorks CW-C8050. Designed for high-volume printing needs, the new label printer aims to address the demands of industries like manufacturing and packaging.
The CW-C8050 builds on the foundation of Epson’s earlier model, the CW-C7510/G, which debuted in 2015 with its PrecisionCore printhead technology. The new model offers advancements like higher ink capacity, faster printing speeds, and greater media compatibility, making it a suitable option for businesses managing complex labeling needs.
“This printer moves beyond functionality to transform labels into marketing tools that capture attention,” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of Marketing at Epson Philippines. “With features like single-step simplicity and PrecisionCore technology, the CW-C8050 helps businesses produce high-quality labels in real-time while reducing waste and maintaining sustainability.”
The CW-C8050 prints labels with smudge and fade-resistant UltraChrome DL pigment inks. It supports a wide range of materials, including matte and glossy paper, film, and synthetic media. Businesses can print on thicker materials, up to 0.6 mm, using the adjustable platen gap.
One key feature is its ease of maintenance. Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) minimizes the risk of misprints by automatically detecting and clearing blockages. Additionally, high-capacity ink packs allow for fewer interruptions and reduced waste.
The printer supports USB 3.0, high-speed Ethernet, and cloud printing options, ensuring seamless integration with legacy systems. Businesses can also monitor performance and track usage remotely using Epson Cloud Solution PORT.
