Accounting and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) jobs are among the most in-demand roles in the Philippines in the first half of 2025, according to online job platform Jobstreet by SEEK.

Accounting leads with 11.81% of job listings, followed closely by ICT at 11.14%. Sales came in third with 10.10%, remaining a consistent area of hiring interest alongside ICT. Other in-demand sectors include Call Center and Customer Service (9.98%), Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics (8.12%), and Administration and Office Support (6.43%).

“Our goal is to empower every Filipino individual and help bridge the gap in unemployment by connecting them with the right opportunities,” said Joey Yusingco, head of Marketing at Jobstreet by SEEK.

The job market trends are timely, as thousands of new graduates enter the workforce. Jobstreet said entry-level positions are available on the platform, which can help young job seekers begin their careers.

While there is high interest in STEM-related fields, the supply of accounting professionals still does not meet the demand, the platform noted. Sales and Marketing and Communications were also highlighted as sectors showing notable increases in job listings over the past three months.

Jobstreet connects job seekers to around 130,000 listings each month. The growth in posts is partly due to its Free Lite Ads feature, which allows employers to publish unlimited job openings at no cost for 30 days.

The Philippine Statistics Authority reported that the country’s Gross Domestic Product is expected to grow from 5.4% in the first quarter to 6.2% in the second quarter. Jobstreet said this economic progress supports the rising number of job opportunities, especially in growing industries like ICT and sales.
