PLDT Enterprise, in partnership with NTT Startup Challenge and NTT Docomo Ventures, is calling for entries to its 2024 Start-Up Innovation Challenge. Launched in 2021, the platform is designed to support Filipino start-ups by providing opportunities for growth and innovation.
The competition, now in its third year, encourages start-ups to present their tech solutions to a panel of judges, investors, and potential clients. It focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart City solutions, and sustainability.
“Supporting start-ups is a key part of our mission to drive innovation and digital transformation,” he said.
“Through initiatives like the Start-Up Innovation Challenge, we aim to identify top performers, promising innovators, and empower entrepreneurs to develop and scale their innovative solutions, contributing to the growth of the Philippine tech landscape,” John Gonzales, FVP and head of Enterprise Consulting Services and Technology Management at PLDT Enterprise said in a media release.
For the first time, this year’s challenge offers participants the chance to network with global partners, opening doors to valuable connections.
The challenge is open to Philippine-based start-ups with proprietary tech solutions. Eligible participants must have been operational for over a year and have at least one paying client. Email start-up name to innolab@pldt.com.ph until Oct. 7, 2024.
The winner will represent the Philippines in a regional competition and receive free co-working space at PLDT’s Innovation Laboratory for one year.
